Our friends at the X Chapter are putting on an amazing event for the 25th Anniversary of the launch of the X5: they’re doing a cross-country relay!
The “baton” in this case is a miniature BMW X5 that is making its way across the country. San Diego will receive the baton from the LA chapter during Bimmer Invasion. Then, we’ll need one or two of YOU from our San Diego Chapter to make the relay leg from San Diego to Phoenix, AZ to hand it off to a member of the Roadrunner Chapter. The handoff would take place anytime between 9/8 and 9/15.
You do NOT need to be an X Chapter member to participate and you can drive any vehicle for the trip. If you’re not willing to make it all the way to Phoenix, we can coordinate a handoff a little closer.
We need just one participant to make this a reality and represent our San Diego Chapter!
NOTE that when you register, you will be put into a waitlist which is normal. Someone from the X Chapter will contact you to coordinate all of the details with you.
If you drive an X vehicle and would like to help us out in a photoshoot with the miniature, please email us at info@sdbmwcca.com.
Come out and join us at our traditional spot along San Diego Bay for our annual Bimmers By the Bay car show! Free lunches to drivers will be offered and additional lunches can be purchased for guests. There will also be event t-shirts available for sale!
Drive-ins on the day of the event without prior registration will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis (spots are limited) but you MUST be a member to display your car on the grass (go to bmwcca.org to join or renew).
We will start accepting cars onto the grass at 8:30am and will STOP accepting cars at 10:45am. Do no arrive any later than 10:45am!

Save the Date for another BMW Day at Point Loma Cars and Coffee on Saturday, April 27!
We will be back with our friends from Point Loma Cars and Coffee at their beautiful Shelter Island location (near Bali Hai restaurant).
Join us for coffee, donuts, and great conversation from 7:30am to 10am at 2230 Shelter Island Drive.
Point Loma Cars and Coffee meets every Saturday and is open to ALL car makes and models. However, on April 27 we want to showcase our love for all things BMW.
So dust off your pride and joy, new or old, and drive on in, because EVERY DAY IS BMW APPRECIATION DAY!!!
All cars, family, friends, and pets are welcome. Please respect the space and our hosts.
We are no longer accepting RSVPs.
We very much regret that we have already reached capacity for these events. Unfortunately, the area the teams have in the paddock is very compressed and does not allow space for an unlimited number of members to be able to view the cars and hear the teams/drivers. We’re very sorry that we’re not able to accommodate everyone that wanted to attend.
The San Diego Chapter and ///M Chapter of the BMW CCA invite you to join an exclusive opportunity for current BMW Car Club members for a Meet & Greet with race teams! We’ll meet the team/drivers on Saturday as they prepare for the race and get an up close look at the new BMW M Hybrid V8, then cheer them on toward another podium in the GTP class in the IMSA Sportscar Grand Prix.
NOTE: Exact time and location for a group Meet Up inside the Long Beach GP race venue will be communicated to confirmed attendees a few days before the event.
COST: No fee for the Meet & Greet. You will just need to purchase your own GPLB event tickets separately to enter the race venue. Official race ticket info: https://www.gplb.com/tickets.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our control, we must CANCEL the April 13th autocross. If you had already registered with us, you will receive a full refund.
We were looking forward to this weekend’s event and greatly apologize for the late cancellation.
In light of this, we have added a NEW autocross on Saturday, May 4th. Please click here to learn more and register for that new event if you wish.
Whether you are new to performance driving or a seasoned “track rat,” we have a full weekend lined up offering loads of track time! Get your car on track to refine your driving skills, explore your vehicle’s capabilities, and have fun with like-minded Club members.
Join us as we partner with Escondido Cars and Coffee for a EURO car meet. Come enjoy coffee and conversations with other EURO car enthusiasts.
Be sure to share with all your friends and meet us at Kit Carson Park in Escondido on Sunday, March 24 from 8am to 11am.
Escondido Cars and Coffee meets every Sunday and is a family and pet-friendly event. All cars, trucks, and bikes are welcome!
Calling all women to celebrate Women’s History Month and the International Day of Women! This event is organized BY WOMEN, FOR WOMEN to provide a friendly and supportive environment in which to introduce you to the San Diego Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America and the thrill of motorsports. So whether you are a long time Club member or just kicking the tires and want to try something new, we would love to see you at this one of many women’s-only events to come.
Our first event will be a social gathering at Castelli & Pizarro Family Vineyards & Winery in Ramona. We will enjoy a brief tour, wine, pizza, dessert, and great conversations. We want to get to know you and survey what women’s-only events you would like to see in the future.
If you would like to try a little driving adventure, join us at 1:30pm at the North County Mall in Escondido (Parking lot between BJ’s and Macy’s) to enjoy a fun drive to the winery together on beautiful winding backroads. Or if you are short on time, just meet us directly at the winery around 2:15pm.
If you find it more comfortable trying something new with a friend, bring one or a few! Women co-drivers are always welcome! Please RSVP to info@sdbmwcca.com by Wednesday, March 6 to let us know how many ladies will be joining us from your crew.
